Las Vegas, Nev. — Today, U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) visited a Three Square Food Bank mobile distribution site to assist in handing out food to Nevada families who are experiencing food insecurity. She also discussed the need for greater federal support and funding for Three Square and other non-profits that are serving at-risk of hunger Nevadans.
“Three Square has always provided a vital service to Southern Nevadans by helping individuals and families in need, and this service has become even more critical as we continue to combat the coronavirus pandemic. I was glad to see their incredible work firsthand today, thank them for all that they’re doing for our community, and hear directly from Nevadans who are experiencing food insecurity. As Thanksgiving approaches, I’m grateful that Nevadans have groups like Three Square to lend a helping hand, and I’ll keep fighting in the Senate to ensure these hardworking organizations, and all Nevadans, have the support and resources they need to weather this pandemic.”
