Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) issued the following statement urging Nevadans to attend a healthcare vigil in Southern Nevada to bring attention to the thousands of Nevadans who face the danger of losing their healthcare due to Senate Republicans’ insistence on advancing their callous healthcare legislation:
“As my Republican colleagues in the Senate try to force Trumpcare onto the American people, I cannot reiterate how important it is for Americans to continue voicing their vehement opposition to this repulsive and misguided attempt to repeal the Affordable Care Act. The participation and advocacy of hardworking Americans is what has stalled Trumpcare so far. We cannot quit. We need to continue sharing our stories and speaking up against these reckless attempts to strip away health care from thousands of hardworking families. While my duties here in Washington prevent me from joining tonight’s vigil, I urge Nevadans to participate and let my Republican colleagues know that Nevadans do not want Trumpcare!”
