Washington, D.C. – In a video message, U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) today launched a new guide to educate Nevada’s small business owners and prospective entrepreneurs about the resources available to them in the Silver State. The Small Business Resource Guide also includes valuable information about how to write a business plan, obtain a business license and access capital. Nevadans wishing to pick up a copy of the Senator’s guide may reach out to her state offices.
Below are Senator Cortez Masto’s comments about the Small Business Resource Guide. Video of her comments is available for download here.
“As we approach the Thanksgiving shopping rush and Small Business Saturday, I’m looking for ways to support Nevada’s small business owners and entrepreneurs and connect them with the resources they need to succeed. That’s why I’m releasing my new Small Business Resource Guide today.
“This guide includes valuable information on how to navigate the licensing process, banking, taxes and other operations that are vital to the day-to-day function of small businesses. And it includes resources that are available through local organizations and state and federal government agencies.
“Our small businesses are the backbone of Nevada’s and America’s economies, and I look forward to continuing to provide the support that helps Nevada’s small business owners thrive.
“Thank you.”
