Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) released the following statement after completing her tour of all 17 Nevada counties:
“There is no better way to learn about issues that matter to Nevadans than to hear from them directly at events, town halls, roundtables, or even at a local grocery store. The stories I’ve heard and the people I’ve met all across Nevada are what drives me every single day, and I am honored to bring their voices to Washington. From fighting for better access to health care in all corners of the state, to increasing access to broadband in rural communities, I remain determined to finding solutions on behalf of hardworking Nevada families in my capacity as a U.S. Senator. And after a whirlwind first year in office, traveling to local communities, reaching out to Nevadans and listening to their stories were the best part of the job. I am grateful to the people of Nevada for welcoming me into their homes, for speaking out, and giving me the opportunity of a lifetime to represent them in Congress.”
