Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) issued the following statement on the 21st anniversary of the September 11th, 2001 attacks on the United States:
“Today marks 21 years since September 11, a horrific day when terrorists attacked our nation and killed thousands of innocent Americans. Paul and I stand with all Americans remembering the lives we lost and the families that were forever changed by this tragedy. We will never forget the heroism and bravery of the many survivors, firefighters, first responders, and law enforcement officers who ran towards danger to save others and showed us the strength of the American spirit. I’ll continue to stand up for American national security and for the heroes who continue to protect our country and keep us safe.”
