Elko, Nev. – U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) released the following statement in response to a report indicating that Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke may recommend changes to federal sage grouse conservation plans:
“The sage grouse is not just a critical part of Nevada’s natural ecosystem, it is a symbol of the beauty and diversity of wildlife in the Western United States. I stand with Governor Brian Sandoval (R-Nev.) in support of a habitat-based approach to sage grouse conservation that incorporates the input of state and local leaders.”
