Senator Cortez Masto donates blood at United Blood Services in Las Vegas.
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) released the following statement encouraging Nevadan’s to donate blood to ensure that medical professionals have their needs met over the days and weeks to come:
“As I have met with nurses and doctors in the wake of the tragic events in Las Vegas, one important thing they have told me is that they will need blood donations in the days and weeks to come. Our community is in mourning, shocked, saddened, and angry. Yet throughout, I have seen Las Vegas, and the entire State of Nevada, come together to support and bring relief to the families of those murdered, to the survivors, and join together in honoring the first responders that risked their lives to save others. Right now, one of the best ways we can all channel our collective grief and effort is to donate blood to our local donation centers. I am joining in that effort by donating my own blood and I invite every Nevadan to join me by scheduling an appointment to donate.”
