Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senators Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) and Jacky Rosen (D-Nev.) released the following statement after the Judiciary Committee favorably reported Senior Nevada State Court Judge Jennifer P. Togliatti out of committee for her nomination to join the United States District Court for the District of Nevada. Judge Togliatti’s nomination will now proceed to the full Senate floor for a confirmation vote at a time to be determined by the Majority Leader.
“Throughout Judge Togliatti’s three decade long career she’s served the Silver State with integrity,” said Senator Cortez Masto. “Judge Togliatti is a trusted and experienced member of Nevada’s legal community. I look forward to voting for her confirmation on the Senate floor to serve on the federal district court for Nevada.”
“I am pleased to see Judge Togliatti’s nomination move through the Judiciary Committee,” said Senator Rosen. “Judge Togliatti is experienced and fair-minded, and will serve Nevada well on our District Court following her confirmation. I look forward to seeing her nomination taken up for a vote on the Senate floor.”
