WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senators Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) and Jacky Rosen (D-Nev.) released the following statement applauding news of a Department of Transportation (DOT) grant totaling over $115,000 awarded by the Federal Transit Administration to the Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribe of Fallon, Nevada.
“This Department of Transportation grant will give the Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribe funding for tribal public transit services, providing access to work, health care, and other essential services in northern Nevada,” said the senators. “Nevada’s many tribal communities deserve our support. We will continue to work in Congress to fund much-needed transportation, health, and educational programs that benefit Nevada’s tribal communities.”
