Las Vegas, Nev. – U.S. Senators Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) and Jacky Rosen (D-Nev.) announced that the Department of Transportation (DOT) has awarded $1,427,900 under the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act (FAST) Act to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas to fund research into the durability of transportation infrastructure.
“These funds will allow the University of Nevada, Las Vegas to continue its groundbreaking work on our railways, bringing them into the 21st century with new materials, better data, and improved construction methods,” said the Senators. “UNLV’s research will help make the nation’s transportation network safer and more efficient, benefitting Nevadans and improving our economy.”
