Reno, Nev. – Today, U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) attended three events honoring our veterans and celebrating Memorial Day. In Reno, she participated in the Post 1 Memorial Day Celebration hosted by the American Legion. In Fernley, she attended the Nevada Veterans Coalition Memorial Day Ceremony. In Carson City, she addressed the US Naval Sea Cadet Corps to commemorate the day.
“On Memorial Day, we recall those who have paid the ultimate price to secure our freedom. We can never repay their sacrifice, but we can honor their service by standing up for the values they defended. Today and every day, I honor the service and sacrifice of our brave men and women in uniform while also pledging to support Gold Star families in Nevada, and across the country. This Memorial Day, I will continue to dedicate myself to supporting our veterans and Armed Forces for all they do protect our values and keep our country safe.”
