Washington, DC – U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) applauded the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) for awarding $769,785 in discretionary grant funding to repair roads on federal lands that have deteriorated due to monsoon rains and flash flooding.
“I thank the Department of Transportation for providing these necessary funds to rebuild damaged roads in Clark County’s federal lands,” said Senator Cortez Masto. “Intense monsoon rains and flash floods have severely damaged our roads in Southern Nevada. With the help of this grant, we can ensure that Nevadans and visitors alike remain well connected wherever they happen to live or visit. I will continue to work with the Department of Transportation to find additional opportunities to bring more federal grants to our state.”
