Cortez Masto Applauds Federal Grant for Reno-Tahoe International Airport Improvements

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) today applauded the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) for providing $5,961,034 in grant funding to the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority for miscellaneous improvements and runway reconstruction at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport.

“The DOT’s continued support for Nevada’s airports has contributed to the state’s ability to maintain its airport infrastructure at a high standard,” said Senator Cortez Masto. “I thank the DOT for this support. The Reno-Tahoe International Airport is the gateway to the world for the Reno-Tahoe area. In addition to giving residents the option to fly to many destinations across the U.S. and Mexico, the airport keeps the region open to tourists who come to our state to enjoy the many gaming and outdoor opportunities in the area. I will continue to work towards securing more funds like these in the future.”
