Reno, Nev. – U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) applauded today the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) for awarding an $850,000 grant to the Tahoe Transportation District Project for a battery-electric bus.
“As a growing state, Nevada has a special interest in strengthening public transportation through innovation and clean sources of energy. I thank the U.S. Department of Transportation for supporting Nevada’s efforts towards realizing this priority. With their new battery-electric bus, the Lake Tahoe community and its visitors will benefit from innovative investments to aid in maintaining the region’s pristine environment and addressing the community’s significant transportation challenges. I am committed to continue working with the federal government to ensure more grants like this one improve the lives of Nevadans.”
