Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) applauded the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) for awarding the University of Nevada, Reno $3 million in grant funding for the development and deployment of innovative asphalt pavement technologies.
“I commend the Department of Transportation for awarding this competitive grant to the University of Nevada, Reno. UNR’s contributions to improving pavement design and production will help extend the life of our roads, lower construction costs, and promote safety and sustainability. This grant will allow Nevada to continue to be a leader in the development and implementation of innovative transportation technologies.”
