Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) released the following statement announcing her co-sponsorship of the Dream Act.
“I’m proud to again support bipartisan legislation that finally puts Dreamers on a pathway to citizenship and gives them the certainty to lead their lives and build their careers in the only country they’ve ever known. From Las Vegas, to Elko, to Reno and Pahrump, Dreamers are making positive impacts in our lives and contributing to our communities. They are our teachers, engineers, leaders, business owners and so much more; they’re our neighbors and friends. This President has thrown their lives into chaos and uncertainty when he ended DACA, and Congress now must act to pass this long-overdue legislation. I will continue fighting to pass the Dream Act and protect hardworking immigrant families that enrich our communities in Nevada, and throughout the country.”
