Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) released the following statement after she voted to advance Doug Burgum, nominee to serve as Interior Secretary, out of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee and to the Senate floor for confirmation.
“I believe Governor Burgum understands the need for a balanced approach to Nevada’s public land management that safeguards our environment, spurs clean-energy development, protects farmers and ranchers, and increases the housing supply.
