Las Vegas, Nev. – U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) issued the following statement in response to the Supreme Court’s decision to grant former President Donald Trump, and all future presidents, absolute immunity for official actions taken while in office.
“Donald Trump incited a violent insurrection on January 6, and five Capitol Police officers lost their lives as a result. Presidents should not be above the law. I’m disturbed by this ruling and the dangerous precedent it sets.”
