Cortez Masto Applauds Federal Grant to Reconstruct Reno-Tahoe International Airport Apron

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) applauded the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) for awarding a $2,475,000 grant to repair Reno-Tahoe International Airport’s apron.

“The Department of Transportation’s latest grant to Nevada – nearly $2.5 million for the Reno-Tahoe International Airport – will ensure that the Reno-Tahoe area has the necessary resources to make improvements to the airport’s apron,” said Senator Cortez Masto. “Maintaining and improving our airports is essential to fueling tourism in Nevada, which brings jobs and promotes overall economic well-being for the state. I thank the DOT for its continued commitment to investing in the Silver State’s infrastructure, and look forward to continue working with them to bring more grants like this one to our state.”

“The DOT’s new funds for Reno-Tahoe International Airport’s apron will ensure that the Reno-Tahoe region stays connected to the world through reliable and efficient aviation infrastructure,” Marily Mora, President and CEO of Reno-Tahoe International airport, said. “We are very grateful for these funds and for the commitment of Senator Cortez Masto, and the entire Congressional Delegation for advocating for Nevada’s infrastructure needs.”
