Las Vegas, NV – U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) issued the following statement commemorating Memorial Day, observed on Monday, May 29th:
“Military service requires immense sacrifice from servicemembers and their families. On Memorial Day, we have the opportunity to pay our respects to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice and reflect on the significance of their service. This day also reminds us to not take the freedom we enjoy as Americans for granted and to appreciate the meaning of preserving this freedom. I offer my sincerest condolences to our country’s Gold Star families and my deepest appreciation to our fallen heroes for their sacrifice.”
