Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) applauded the Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) announcement of three new grants for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, the University of Nevada, Reno Board of Regents, and the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services.
“I commend HHS for investing in scientific research and emergency preparedness for Nevada hospitals all across the state,” said Cortez Masto. “These funds are critical investments to improve the health and well-being of Nevadans and also provides a needed boost to STEM research at our public universities. I will continue working to secure federal funding for the state to ensure that we can support scientific research at our public universities and enhance the quality of life for all Nevadans.”
