Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) applauded the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for awarding $2 million to expand Vitality Unlimited, a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), to Carson City and Lyon County.
“Nevada was one of 8 states chosen to be part of the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs) demonstration program. We have already seen these clinics transform access to mental health treatment and access to high-quality behavioral health care for individuals with opioid use disorder in some of our most underserved communities, serving thousands of Nevadans in the short time that they have been in existence. I am pleased that the vital services provided by these clinics are being expanded to more of our rural communities that are most in need.”
