Las Vegas, Nev. – U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) today toured the UNLV Medicine Ackerman Autism Center and the Grant a Gift Autism Foundation. She heard from doctors and advocates about the resources and treatment options available to Nevada children on the autism spectrum as well as the challenges families face accessing care.
“Families with autism need the support of their doctors and their communities. The partnership of Grant a Gift Autism Foundation and the UNLV Ackerman Autism Center is committed to helping families, removing barriers to health care access, and providing high-quality treatment for patients with autism. I will continue to fight in Congress to support the critical work that happens here and to make sure we’re doing everything we can for individuals with autism and their families.”
