Reno, Nev. – U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) today attended and spoke at the kick-off of the Washoe County School District Parent University’s Chart the Course event. The all-day workshop provides middle and high school students and their families with information on how to plan for college and achieve other educational and career goals.
“I’m so proud to join with WCSD Parent University as they host such a useful and informative event to help prepare middle school and high school students across Washoe County for college and career success. For many students in our community, these opportunities for mentorship and education play an important role in shaping them and empowering them to become Nevada’s future engineers, teachers, scientists and leaders. That path toward these students achieving their dreams continued today. In the Senate, I will continue to do all I can to ensure Nevada’s students and families have access to the educational resources they need to thrive and the support they need to pursue their careers and join our 21st century workforce.”
