Reno, Nev. – Today, U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) met with numerous stakeholders in Churchill County to discuss the proposed expansion of the Naval Air Station at Fallon. The Senator met with ranchers whose grazing permits could be significantly impacted, as well as with local government officials, business leaders, tribal representatives and others to discuss the proposed modernization and expansion of the Fallon Range Training Complex.
“I was eager to talk to stakeholders today about the complex issue of the Fallon base expansion. I know that the Navy, environmentalists, the recreation industry, tribes, and farmers and ranchers all have important interests they want heard. I’m committed to bringing everyone together, listening to their concerns, and taking their voices back to Washington to make sure Nevadans and their priorities are represented in the U.S. Senate.”
