Reno + Sparks Chamber

Reno, Nev. – U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) delivered remarks at the 100th anniversary of the Reno + Sparks Chamber of Commerce yesterday. In her remarks, the Senator addressed issues that affect businesses and workers in Northern Nevada. In addition, Senator Cortez Masto presented the Reno + Sparks Chamber of Commerce with a Congressional Record Statement commemorating its 100th anniversary.

“It’s such an honor to join the over 2,000 members of the Reno + Sparks Chamber of Commerce as they celebrate a century of creating jobs, supporting small businesses and fueling Nevada’s economy. One of my goals in the Senate is to make sure I’m doing all I can to ensure companies have the certainty and support they need to thrive. I’m thrilled to have fought for and won the necessary quorum on the Export-Import Bank to ensure Nevada businesses are getting access to financing to grow. And I’m also committed to doing all I can to ensure that one of the biggest workforce issues confronting our businesses, health care affordability, is addressed for companies that want to recruit and retain a strong workforce. From drone delivery and renewable energy technology to manufacturing and software development, Nevada’s businesses are at the forefront of American industry. As Nevada’s United States Senator, I’ll continue to do all I can to support businesses creating good-paying jobs in the Silver State.”
