Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev) released the following statement on the passing of women’s rights icon Harriet Trudell.
“I’m deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Harriet Trudell. As a steadfast advocate for social change, she forged the path on women’s rights, civil rights and the fight against Yucca Mountain. Her fighting spirit changed hearts and her determination changed minds, making her a key ally for Nevada Democrats and a force to be reckoned with in Nevada politics. I’m grateful for the indelible mark she’s left on the Silver State.”
