Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senators Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) and Jacky Rosen (D-Nev.) introduced Judge Jennifer Togliatti during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing to consider her nomination to be District Judge for the District of Nevada. The senators previously praised Togliatti’s nomination, calling her “fair-minded and objective.”
“Not only does she have the experience and qualifications for the federal bench, Judge Togliatti has the support of colleagues throughout Nevada’s legal community… She is exactly what a judge should be on the bench – she’s respectful, she’s intelligent and fair. I’m so proud to be able to recommend her to the committee,” said Senator Cortez Masto.
“Without a doubt, Judge Togliatti is the right candidate for federal district court judge in Nevada. I am therefore pleased to support her nomination, and I thank her not only for her service to our state but for her willingness to be considered for this nomination,” said Senator Rosen. “Judge Togliatti’s nomination, her qualifications, and her deep ties to our state and its legal community show what is possible when the White House engages in meaningful collaboration with home-state senators on selecting judicial nominees. I urge the swift confirmation of Judge Jennifer Togliatti.”
