If You Need Assistance with a Federal Agency in the Wake of COVID-19, My Office is Here to Help

By U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto

As the coronavirus continues to interrupt daily life across the country, many Nevadans are facing significant changes to their daily routine. During these uncertain times, it is one of my top priorities to ensure that my office is available to help Nevadans in need of support with federal agencies and other government assistance programs. My office’s Disaster Resource Guide has extensive information to help you find the appropriate assistance and the representatives on my team can help connect you with the applicable local, state and federal resources in Nevada to help you and your family during this difficult time.

My office helps Nevadans every day seeking assistance obtaining social security benefits, tax refunds, veterans’ health care, and more. During the coronavirus pandemic, we are especially focused on helping Nevadans access the federal resources that will support small businesses and provide relief to impacted families and workers. This includes helping Nevadans secure food assistance, assisting with mortgage payments, or ensuring Nevadans can access social security and unemployment assistance. If a case concerns an issue that falls outside of my federal role, my team can also help by connecting you to the state and local agencies that may be better suited to handle your concerns. My Disaster Resource Guide also has additional information on many other programs and resources for Nevadans throughout the Silver State.

My dedicated team of casework professionals in Las Vegas and Reno will continue to advocate for all Nevadans who seek support from federal agencies and will make every effort to provide expedited solutions to your concerns. If you have questions about what sort of coronavirus assistance you and your family are eligible to receive, or you have a specific issue to be resolved with a federal or a state agency, please contact my office at https://www.cortezmasto.senate.gov/help/help-with-a-federal-agency.
