Senator Cortez Masto has received a perfect score every year since coming to Congress
Washington, D.C. – Yesterday, U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) was awarded the “Heroes Award” by the Alliance of Retired Americans for receiving a perfect Congressional voting record score on a wide variety of legislative priorities important to retirees and seniors in Nevada.
“It’s a great honor to receive this award from an organization that works tirelessly to safeguard the health and well-being of Nevada’s seniors and retirees. Our country is built on the promise that if you work hard and pay your taxes you should be able to retire with the financial security and health care safety net you need. As this Administration continues to undermine the social safety net by proposing cuts in its budget to critical programs like Medicare and Medicaid, and signing Executive Orders that threaten Social Security, I remain committed to fighting to protect the hard earned benefits of all Nevada seniors and retirees.”
