Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) today released her 2020 Annual Report, which highlights some of the senator’s work on behalf of Nevadans over the past year. In 2020, Senator Cortez Masto helped secure over $2 billion in grant funding and voted for five coronavirus relief packages that brought over $19 billion of federal support to the Silver State in a time of great need. She introduced 58 bills and amendments on issues that affect Nevada families, and helped thousands of Nevadans with cases pending with federal agencies. In addition, the senator has helped draft and pass numerous policy priorities into law, including legislation to help curb the epidemic of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls, to help fight human trafficking online, to extend the Investment Tax Credit that supports Nevada’s solar energy industry, and to help Nevadans access high-quality internet.
“During this difficult year for so many Nevadans, I’ve been working around the clock on bipartisan legislation to get our state the support needed to keep people healthy, assist Nevada businesses and workers, and continue safely reopening our economy. I’ll continue to work in the Senate to pave the way for recovery and renewal for the Silver State.”
Senator Cortez Masto’s 2020 Annual Report is available online and upon request at her D.C., Las Vegas, and Reno offices.
