His legacy lives on in the women and men who are standing up to oppression and injustice in Nevada and across the nation. Many of Dr. King’s powerful words still ring true today as we continue to fight against hate, racism and injustice in all forms. As we celebrate and honor Dr. King’s life, legacy, and his fight for equality, I recognize the weight of this moment in our nation’s history and the need to continue our vital work to live up to our country’s founding promises.”
