Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) released the following statement in response to President Biden’s State of the Union address:
“Over the past two years, we’ve made bipartisan investments in Nevada’s infrastructure, brought down health care costs, and created good-paying union jobs for Nevadans. We have more work to do to support working families, and I’ll keep working with the Administration and my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to lower gas prices and housing costs so everyone in Nevada can get ahead.
“I also appreciated the President’s focus on working together to crack down on fentanyl in our communities, improving access to mental health services, and finally fixing our broken immigration system. These are urgent challenges facing Nevadans and all Americans, and we must make progress for our families.”
